Film ini menceritakan tentang hubungan antara tiga pria yakni Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac dan Lucien Carr. Namun hubungan mereka menjadi rumit dan kacau yang diwarnai pembunuhan, kemudian akhirnya menyebabkan Lucien Carr dipenjara di tahun 1944.
